I met Nikki two years ago when she was just starting to share her passion for bento making in social media. Nikki, a mom of three, started bento making, as a means to provide healthier food choices to her picky toddler, Alex.
During that time, Craft Party PH was having a Halloween themed Rubberstamping workshop for Mom & Kids so we approached Nikki if she can provide spooky bento snacks to our participants. Nikki, readily agreed, and that was the beginning of a series of collaborations with Nikki.
From then on, Craft Party PH had two more workshops with Nikki, the first one was Bento Making + Food Styling and the second one was Bento Making + Meal Planning. Both workshops were full and participants came home confident and more than ready to bento on their own. We also had a Tsumtsum themed bento craft party to celebrate Caity’s birthday with a few of her treasured friends.
Last July 18, 2017, Nikki had another bento making workshop, this time in collaboration with Gourdo’s Megamall and Juice Hut Plus. It was her first time to work with mom and their kids, and together they made bentos using cookie cutters and baking tools. Girls and boys from 2 to 11 years old had fun creating food shaped as ducks, butterflies, flowers, and more! Educating and exposing our young children to healthy food and juices will hopefully help them establish healthy habits as they grow older.
